Modern Pentathlon World Congress

The Congress was attended by 40 federations covering all five continents, including first time member India.

After some debate and discussion, all members voted in favour to include an additional rule to implement the laser system for all official Youth B, Youth A and Junior UIPM competitions from 1 January 2011 with the previous ruling that the combined event may take place using the laser system still in place.

The other significant change in the rules is the amendment of the shoot time for Youth A and Youth B from 1 minute 30 seconds back to 1 minute 10 seconds for the 5 targets.

Brendan and Michael took the opportunity to discuss issues with UIPM President, Dr. Klaus Schormann, and to develop relations with other nations, including the Secretary General
