Rheinisch back from injury

Beijing Olympian Eoin Rheinisch returned to competition after a long lay off due to surgery o his shoulder.

The Kildare slalom canoeist finished 4th in Beijing , just narrowly missing out on a medal in the final run.

He had an operation in November 2010, and is happy with the way his rehabilitation programme has been working.

He is stepping up the competiton opportunities and used the European Championships in Seu d’Urgell in Spain at the weekend to test his competitive fitness.

He will fit in four competitions prior to World Championships in Slovakia, September 2011 (an Olympic qualifier).
